Detective Conan One-eyed Flashback is the 28th film in the Detective Conan franchise. It is scheduled to be released in Japan on April 18, 2025.

Synopsis of Detective Conan One-eyed Flashback

Detective Conan One-eyed Flashback tells the story of Yamato Kansuke of the Nagano Prefectural Police Department chasing a “certain man” into the snowy mountains, a shadow of a person suddenly appears in his sight. Taking advantage of the distraction, the “certain man” he was chasing fired a rifle bullet that grazed his left eye at the same time as an avalanche occurred, roaring across the area. The avalanche swallowed him whole.

10 months later. A staff member of the Nobeyama National Observatory research facility is attacked by someone. After hearing the news, Yamato Kansuke, who miraculously managed to return from the landslide, and Uehara Yui head to the scene. During their interrogation of the staff, the facility's large satellite dish activates, and Yamato's left eye, which was killed in the accident, suddenly begins to hurt.

That same evening, a colleague of Kogoro's from his MPD days, nicknamed "Wani", calls him at his Detective Agency. He is investigating an accident involving Yamato, an avalanche, and says that Kogoro's name is on the investigation report. Kogoro agrees to meet him another time, and Conan follows him, but as they head to the meeting place, gunshots suddenly ring out. Unfulfilled promises and flashbacks held in dead eyes. The mystery of the blackout begins in the blizzard-stricken mountains.

Detective Conan One-eyed Flashback Theme Song

King Gnu performed the Detective Conan One-eyed Flashback theme song “Twilight!!!.” King Gnu made their major debut on Sony Music Labels’ Ariola Japan label in 2019. The band is best known for their fourth CD single “Ichizu,” which was featured as the theme song for the 2021 anime film JUJUTSU KAISEN 0. “TWILIGHT!!!” is their first theme song work for the Detective Conan anime franchise in their career.
