Bakuage Sentai Boonboomger First Episode Plot
The premiere episode of Bakuage Sentai Boonboomger opens with a red sports car driving up to a church and parking, with the driver getting out of the vehicle and then entering the church. He then kidnaps the unhappy bride, Mira, from her wedding and drives off with the groom, his father and his men in pursuit. Mira is shocked by all of this and asks who the man is and why he is doing this, he says he is just a delivery man.
A voice on a clock-like device sings about curry as they drive, with the man, Taiya, reporting that he has secured the “package”, another voice tells her that the Aori Family is right behind them (implying that Mira was forced to marry the son of a Yakuza boss). Taiya says she was going to marry a real worker but he had rescued her on behalf of his client, his real girlfriend, who ordered him to take her to the airport so they could escape the mob and live happily together. Mira is not happy with this news, because while she feels fine not marrying the son of a mob boss, she doesn’t like that she has no control over the situation.
The Aori family chases after them, with Taiya saying he always gets the job done no matter what, asking “Chasshiro” to help him find a faster route to the airport and escape the criminals. A robot is making curry near Ishiro, who asks what’s wrong when he stops looking for a route. Ishiro’s monitor detects an anomaly heading towards Taiya’s SuperCar. A large monster car with two alien gangsters on it speeds past the Aori family, destroying their vehicle.
Taiya asks “Bun Bun” if she has any visuals of what she saw, with the robot confirming that they were indeed Hashiroyan. Taiya says that they finally made it to Earth, with Mira confused as to what she is talking about. The two stop chasing each other long enough to let an old woman cross the street and then resume their pursuit.
Female gangster Itasha sees Mira’s wedding dress and wants to “send her on the road”, begging Decotrade to have it. She agrees to be their first act on the planet and they will “fix her up good”. The car chase intensifies, as Taiya tries to avoid being run off the road and shot, eventually turning her car into reverse and using her watch device to activate the booster rockets under the hood to launch her into the air. A young man with an orange lollipop watches them get some serious airtime from the roof, hearing Mira scream the entire time, complimenting Taiya on her amazing car customization.
As the car falls back to Earth, the thrusters are released and the thrusters hover around the wheels slow their descent to land safely on the road again. Mira is exhausted from all the excitement and Taiya decides that maybe they should take a small detour, stopping at a clothing store. She takes out her credit card and tells the owner and employees that she will “buy the whole store” and Mira can wear whatever she wants since she has to throw away her wedding dress so the Hashiriyan can’t take it. Mira refuses to throw away her dress, which Taiya says is fine and she will wait outside until she is finished changing.
Ishiro wonders what happened, as they have a deadline to meet, with Taiya saying that “something interesting” happened. Ishiro understands and goes over to her, with the robot wishing her a safe journey. Mira finishes putting on her new clothes while looking at her wedding dress, apparently it is important to her as she thinks about what Taiya said about her dislike of having control of her life taken away from her. Mira prepares to leave the dressing room, but the Itasha is waiting for her and places a strange key into Mira’s wedding dress.
This turns her into a monster and Mira screams in terror, alerting Taiya to what is happening and she sees Wedding Dress Grumer trapping the terrified civilians in wedding dresses with rays that are suffocating them in the dress more and more with each ray. Decotrade is excited, encouraging the humans to scream even louder to create “Gassholin” to charge their monsters. Wedding Dress Grumer grows stronger with each scream she absorbs, as her internal tank fills up. Itasha declares that Earth is now their gang’s territory as she summons foot soldiers named Nejirettas from the screws she carries to create more screams by attacking civilians.
Mira tries to chase after Wedding Dress Grumer, but Taiya stops her. She explains that she doesn't want to throw away the dress because it belonged to her grandmother and is a memento of her. Realizing how special the dress is now, Taiya asks Bun Bun if she can take it back. The robot confirms that she can do so if the monster is defeated. Taiya then promises to take the dress back for Mira for free, saying that she just wanted to help her. Using a watch called the Boonboom Changer, she presses the trigger three times and slides it onto her arm to transform into what Mira describes as a "Tire Man", Bun Red.
The Red Ranger charges at his enemies at high speed and evades enemy fire with superhuman agility, the wheels on his suit serving as turbo roller blades, a rear defensive energy shield, and a launcher to launch Wedding Dress. Bun Red impresses Mira, who watches his fight. Taiya radios Ishiro to take care of the package while he handles the Hashiriyan, with Ishiro taking Mira to Taiya's car to take her to the airport. Wedding Dress tries to chase Mira, but Taiya stops her from getting close to him.
As they drive, Mira is fed up with people making decisions for her and decides to “take the wheel herself” by wanting to help Taiya, grabbing Ishiro’s Boonboom Changer and triggering the SuperCar’s hood rocket to fly back to the battlefield. The car lands right between Bun Red and Wedding Dress, with Mira declaring that she wants to fight Taiya and she will decide where she wants to be.
Seeing her determination, he accepts her choice and gives her the spare Boonboom Changer in the glove compartment. Ishiro is not happy about this but decides to go along with it for now, as the two transform into Bun Blue and Pink. Bun Bun is excited by this development and says that now is the time to do “something”. Ishiro is embarrassed and asks if they really have to do it, but Taiya agrees that it is about time as the Boonboomgers do their first roll call.
The Hashiriyan Trio are confused as they watch the strange Earthlings ruin their fun as each Ranger gets to work cleaning up the Neijirettas. Mira has fun in her first battle and Taiya calls on everyone to finish off Wedding Dress with their combined attack, Bakuage Finish: Bakuage Handling Drive. Yaiyai Yarucar acts strangely, with her eyes turning red and she races to absorb Gassholin, then enters Highway Space in an attempt to make the defeated Kurumaju grow giant. The Boonboomgers call for their BoonBoom Cars and for Bun Bun to come to their aid as the Boonboom Trailer.
Bun Bun introduces himself as Bundorio to Mira and says he's glad she's with them, though he's surprised by the fact that she's talking to a car, which makes him even more excited. They race through Highway Space to try and catch Yaiyai, who launches bombs at them while cackling like a maniac. Outside on Earth, Decotrade and Itasha wonder what's wrong with Yarucar, as he's never acted like this before, but then decide to cheer him on as he races.
Mira decides to turbo jump her Boonboom Wagon, getting ahead of the bombs and then tries to ram Yarucar from the side, but gets caught between him and the guardrail. She shifts her vehicle and does a flip, landing on the other side and manages to ram Yaiyai into the guardrail and spin out. Ishiro is impressed with her driving skills and so is Taiya.
Bundorio enters the slide, using his trailer to send Yarucar flying off the Highway and back to the real world where he takes out Gassholin and shrinks back to normal as Wedding Dress Grumer rises again as a giant. Taiya calls for everyone to join in, with Bundorio transforming into Gate Mode to have the Boonboon Off-Road and Boonboon Wagon transform into their Attack Modes and then into Boonboomger Robo, attaching both vehicles to his arms to complete the transformation.
They wait for a car at an intersection to pass by and then when it safely leaves the area, Boonboomger Robo attacks Grumer's Wedding Dress and knocks the monster into the steel frame of a building under construction. After getting closer and scanning Wedding Dress, Bundorio detects screws on her armor and uses Boonboomger Robo's screwdriver blade to pry them off. This causes the dress to fall off Grumer, who is embarrassed that he is naked.
Mira then uses the broken blocks to build a wedding cake prison to trap the “naked” Kurumaju and “slice the cake” with their Robo finisher: Boonboom Finish. After Grumer is destroyed, the wedding dress trapping everyone disappears and Mira’s grandmother’s wedding dress returns to normal. Yarucar wakes up with no memory of what happened while she was under Gassholin’s influence.
The premiere episode of Bakuage Sentai Boonboomger ends with Mira shocking her boyfriend by saying she wants to stay in Tokyo and break up with him because she has decided to become a superhero, a member of the Boonboomgers. Ishiro refuses to accept that the job ends like this, but Taiya is fine with it, the job is done but the delivery is “outsourced” to the Boonboomgers.

There are many driving scenes that appear in the first episode of Bakuage Sentai Boonboomger. This is in accordance with the theme, namely cars. In addition, several functions of the rangers' change items called Boonboom Changer are also introduced.
In terms of storyline, this series seems to follow the general Super Sentai storyline, which is meeting a monster then transforming and defeating it, then fighting against the monster in a large form with a robot and defeating it again. Transformation scenes and roll calls are also in this series. The new thing is the car racing scene before merging into a robot.
The acting of the main characters also looks good and deepens their roles so that the characters played do not look stiff. The antagonist is also quite interesting even though it does not look that threatening. It is interesting to look forward to what the storyline will be like in the future.
