First Impressions of Sentai Gozyuger 2025 No.1 Premiere Episode

The premiere episode of No.1 Sentai Gozyuger aired on February 16, 2024. The No.1 Sentai Gozyuger series is a 2025 Tokusatsu series replacing the No.1 Sentai Gozyuger series. Bakuage Sentai Boonboomger which has reached its final episode and joins the Kamen Rider Gavv series in the Super Hero Time entry in TV Asahi. No.1 Sentai Gozyuger tells the story of Hoeru Tono, who has no family or friends, living as a “left behind” as Gozyu Wolf.

The premiere episode of No.1 Sentai Gozyuger features many fighting scenes ranging from robot fights to the start of sentai fights. Several main characters are introduced in this episode. Likewise, the antagonists add to the dynamics of the story of the premiere episode of the No.1 Sentai Gozyuger series. This episode marks the debut of Gozyu Wolf and Tega Sword Red. Synopsis of the First Episode No.1 Sentai Gozyuger

The first episode of No.1 Sentai Gozyuger tells the story of Hoeru Tono, who has no family or friends, living as a “left behind” who gets fired from his part-time job at any time. One day, Fire Candle, the leader of the evil Buraidan special assault force, suddenly appears in the city and starts a rampage. His goal is to get the “rings”, which, if collected, will grant all wishes.

After being blown away by Fire Candle's attack, Hoeru found the "ring" elsewhere. There, he heard a mysterious voice say, “Strive to come out on top in every fight the ring presents.” He eventually forms a contract with the ring, becomes GozyuWolf, and confronts Buraidan. The “wanderers” awaken and the Battle for the Ring begins.

The premiere episode of No.1 Sentai Gozyuger tells a story of no friends, no money, and no kindness. Hoeru Tono is a social outcast who spends his days working as a wandering part-timer.

One day, he and his part-time partner, Tsutsumi, face a giant robot attack on the city. Hoeru recklessly faces his giant opponent.
However, what appeared before them was the giant god “Tega Sword.” With a roar, Hoeru Tono transformed into Gozyu Wolf.

First Impressions of No.1 Sentai Gozyuger Premiere Episode

The first episode of No.1 Sentai Gozyuger focuses on the introduction of the main character Hoeru Tono. The main character has a straightforward and rough impression. He has never been able to last long at his part-time job and seems somewhat of a social misfit. However, he has strength and is able to beat up muggers, survive being harassed by criminals, and fight monsters with ease. His intimidating presence overwhelms his opponents. However, he has no dreams or desires, with no attachment to life.

In the No.1 Sentai Gozyuger series, especially the number one match, someone has to be number one to make their wish come true. It would be interesting if the main character could develop and find their own wish. In addition, the other Gozyugers also seem to have their own wishes, so it could be quite an interesting character. The other characters in the world can also transform as long as they have the Tega Sword and Sentai Ring and join the match to make their wishes come true.

The presence of Haruhi Iuchi, Taiya Hando's actor from Bakuage Sentai Boonboomger, who plays another character named Natsume Tsutsumi and transforms into Kuwagata Ohger is an interesting and surprising thing in this series. Tega Sword in this series is revealed to have two versions, namely the silver version for characters who have Sentai Ring and the gold version. The appearance of Tega Sword Red in this episode seems simpler because it is basically Tega Sword without a combination of various other robots. The transformation scene also returns to the Super Sentai series in general which is accompanied by dance.

The antagonist in this series is also interesting and quite threatening because it destroys many buildings in its action. However, it is not told much in this series. Meanwhile, the background of the Universe War is briefly retold in this episode after previously being told in the spin-off. The battle between robots is presented like a fight with cheerleaders and announcers. Tono and Fire Candle pit their robots in a fierce first battle with Fire Candle using King Candelor but Tono manages to make the most of Tega Sword Red. The robot's steering section is also quite wide like in the Kikai Sentai Zenkaiger and Avataro Sentai Donbrothers series. The battle between sentai has just begun. The Gozyugers will probably get the Sentai Ring from the battle between sentai.
